Company Policies

V.1 Quality Policy

ERGHANI S.A., which operates in the representation, importation and distribution of surgical and para-pharmaceutical products in the Greek market, has initiated the process of establishing and implementing a Quality Assurance System in accordance with the International Standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, ISO 37001:2016 and in compliance with Ministerial Decision DY8/1348/2004.

Through its Quality Policy, the Company is committed to:

  • Compliance with the legislative and regulatory framework governing the Company’s operation. Particular emphasis is placed on the management of patients’ personal data maintained by the Company. Compliance with customers’ specified requirements as agreed through written contracts/agreements, with the aim of increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance with the requirements of Ministerial Decision DY8/1348/2004 concerning the “Definition of a Quality System for Companies Distributing Medical Devices”, as well as with the requirements of the standards EN ISO 9001:2015, EN ISO 37001:2016 and EN ISO 13485:2016, and with the applicable EU directives and regulations governing medical devices.
  • Continuous customer support after sales and constructive cooperation with all suppliers.
  • Continuous training and updating of personnel.
  • Operation using environmentally friendly practices and in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements related to climate change.
  • Investigation of the causes of non-conformities or complaints and the determination of corrective actions. Provision of reliable and high-quality products and services at the desired time and place, aiming to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Establishment and documentation of procedures for product identification from receipt to delivery, ensuring product recall from the market if necessary.
  • Establishment and measurement of quality objectives for their continuous evaluation and ongoing improvement.
  • Provision of resources to ensure the proper and complete establishment and implementation of the Quality Assurance System at all organizational levels.

For the implementation of the Quality Policy, the Company considers the active participation of all employees essential in maintaining, developing and documenting all processes provided for by the Quality Assurance System, as well as in measuring, improving and achieving all objectives. The Company’s Policy is communicated to all personnel for implementation and is available to any interested party upon request.

V.2 Environmental Policy

The operation of ERGHANI S.A., respecting the environment, is governed by the principles reflected in the requirements and specifications defined by ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management.

Through its Environmental Policy, the Company sets objectives and procedures for the proper management of energy resources, monitoring of consumption and energy footprint, and waste recycling, and commits to:

  • Implementing an Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001:2015.
  • Making the best possible use of the know-how and experience of its personnel, while ensuring good working conditions.
  • Ensuring that all personnel are aware of the Environmental Policy, environmental issues, objectives and programs, and have full understanding of the elements of the Environmental Management System.
  • Providing all necessary resources to achieve environmental objectives and ensure continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the Management System.
  • Monitoring applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Cooperating with all interested parties to improve environmental performance.
  • Implementing measures for saving energy resources (water and electricity).
  • Identifying and reducing environmental failures in order to eliminate them.
  • Management commitment to pollution prevention and environmental protection.

V.3 Anti-Bribery Policy

The Company declares zero tolerance towards all forms of Active and Passive Bribery and prohibits bribery in any form, including any monetary or other type of payment, direct or indirect (provision of business opportunities, employment positions, favorable contracts, donations, travel, gifts and hospitality), with the aim of obtaining, retaining or securing an improper advantage for the Company.

Within this framework, the Company has incorporated the requirements of ISO 37001:2016 “Anti-Bribery Management System” into its Quality System and commits to full compliance. Anti-bribery prevention measures are expressed through the procedures of the Company’s Quality System and include:

  • Identification of bribery risks.
  • Compliance with the relevant legislative and regulatory framework related to bribery.
  • Implementation of policies and rules ensuring ethical business transactions.
  • Regular review of the suitability of the Policy for the Company’s purpose.
  • Establishment of objective anti-bribery goals.
  • Conducting due diligence checks on involved personnel and business partners.
  • Continuous training of personnel to prevent bribery and encourage reporting of incidents.
  • Protection of whistleblowers.
  • Ensuring independence and impartiality of the Anti-Bribery Structure.
  • Provision of an anonymous reporting mechanism.
  • Impartial investigation of bribery incidents and imposition of consequences on those involved.

The principles of the system and the quality objectives are reviewed at regular intervals by the Management Body to ensure continuous improvement.

Management commits to providing the necessary resources for maintaining and implementing the Anti-Bribery Management System. All Company departments are responsible for responding to, assimilating and applying the procedures required by the Anti-Bribery System through their daily activities.

It is also the responsibility of the Company’s Management to ensure that the Anti-Bribery Policy is communicated, understood and implemented by all Company personnel.

V.4 Policy Against Violence and Harassment

This policy of ERGHANI S.A. is established in accordance with Law 4808/2021, which ratified Convention No. 190 of the International Labour Organization, and aims to prevent and address all forms of violence, harassment and discrimination in the workplace. The policy applies to management, employees and any third party cooperating or transacting with the Company. Discrimination includes, indicatively, distinctions based on gender, race, age, disability, religion, political beliefs or sexual orientation. Violence and harassment are defined as all behaviors or practices that cause or may cause physical, psychological, sexual or economic harm, as well as any conduct that violates human dignity and creates a hostile or degrading working environment. Particular emphasis is placed on gender-based harassment and sexual harassment. Any form of retaliation against persons who submit a complaint or participate in an investigation process is strictly prohibited.

The Company declares zero tolerance towards discrimination, violence and harassment and commits to ensuring a safe, dignified and friendly working environment based on respect, equality and cooperation. In this context, behaviors such as offensive comments, sexist or racist jokes, unwanted physical contact, threats, bullying, cyber-harassment and any form of degradation or exclusion are strictly prohibited.

The Company implements preventive measures, informs and raises awareness among personnel, encourages reporting of incidents and provides support to affected persons, including employees who are victims of domestic violence. It also cooperates with any competent administrative or judicial authority.

Clear procedures are established for the submission and handling of complaints, both informal and formal, with guarantees of impartiality, confidentiality and protection of personal data. Complaints are investigated promptly and, if a violation is confirmed, appropriate disciplinary or corrective measures are taken. Protection against retaliation is provided to both the complainant and the accused until completion of the investigation.
